Samsung didn’t have the best start to its Android 12 rollout but the company is now firing on all cylinders. Yesterday, it released the big update to the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy S20 series, and Galaxy Note 20 series. Today, we have the Galaxy S10 series joining the fun as well. The Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and the Galaxy S10+ are all now receiving the stable Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update in some European countries, including Germany. You can expect the company to release the new update in more markets in the coming days.

The stable One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy S10 trio comes with the firmware version G97xFXXUEGULB. The build number may vary by region but you can look forward to something similar. The new update also brings the December 2021 Android security patch. This month’s SMR (security maintenance release) introduces fixes for dozens of vulnerabilities found on Android OS as well as Samsung’s One UI.

In terms of new features, there are tons of them too. After all, it’s a major Android update. You can check out the full changelog here. Of course, not all of those features will be available to all Samsung smartphones. But most Galaxy devices will get the majority of them.

This is the last major Android update for the Galaxy S10 series

Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 series in February 2019. The devices came running Android 9 Pie out of the box. They have since received updates to Android 10 and Android 11. And thanks to Samsung’s new software support policy, which promises three years of Android OS updates to all flagships and select mid-rangers launched in 2019 and beyond, the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and the Galaxy S10+ are eligible for one more big update. That third update is here, and quite sooner than expected. Samsung wasn’t expected to roll out Android 12 to its 2019 flagships before 2022.

Hopefully, the company has properly tested the new software for bugs. The initial stable One UI 4.0 builds that it rolled out to the Galaxy S21 trio as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 were bug-ridden. As a result, Samsung had to temporarily suspend the rollout. It has since fixed those bugs and resumed the update. The company has also expanded the availability of the new software package to several major markets across the world over the past couple of days, including the US. The stable One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy S10 series should also soon reach stateside. We will keep you updated.
