The LG G2 OLED has all the trimmings a display needs for console gaming
When it comes to TVs, LG has consistently provided some of the best options for console gamers, and the G2 OLED is certainly poised to be an incredible option this year, which is why it won our Best Of CES 2022 award.
Aside from being an OLED which is going to help deliver better color for games, it comes in a variety of sizes to fit any setup. It even comes in as small as 42-inches which means it could work as a PC monitor as well. Not to mention better fit on desk surfaces.
And if you’ve got the money to throw around, you can get it as big as 97-inches for a truly awesome gaming experience on consoles.
LG prepared it for the PS5 and Xbox Series X
Now that it’s 2022, more TVs are coming out with the sort of future proofing features you want for the latest consoles. Like HDMI 2.1, Variable Refresh Rate, 120Hz native refresh rate and more.
The LG G2 OLED has it all. So it’s clear that LG is heavily targeting the gamer market with this new TV. LG says this TV also gets about 20% brighter than the C2 announced at the show. Another reason why it’ll be great for gaming, but really just any entertainment in general. Especially if you have the TV set up in a place where it might end up with lots of glare.
LG’s new Alpha 9 Gen 5 intelligent processor is what powers the brightness. As LG states that it enables the TV to “deliver more brightness through improved heat dissipation.” It’s essentially LG’s brightest TV ever.
The G2 is also G-Sync compatible, supports multiple HDMI 2.1 features, offers a 1ms response time and has low input lag. Plus, it’ll have available apps for GeForce NOW and Google Stadia. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better gaming TV in 2022.
And with all that, it wasn’t a hard decision to give the LG G2 OLED our Best Of CES 2022 award. It’s well-deserved. Of course these TVs won’t be great for gaming alone. They should also improve the viewing experience for any of your entertainment. Whether it’s binging shows on Netflix or watching your favorite movies.
Overall, these are going to be TVs you want to keep an eye on this year.
