While Disney+ is relatively new compared to services like Netflix and Hulu, it’s quickly become one of the top streaming services out there. While people in the United States and other countries have enjoyed the service, Disney will rapidly expand Disney+ to a bunch of other countries this year. Not only that but there will be about a dozen territories included.

Disney+ will expand to a lot of other countries in 2022

It should come as no surprise that Disney+ is a smash hit. Being able to access all of the movies and cartoons from a nearly 100-year history for only about $8/month is a heck of a deal. Since the service launched back in 2019, a lot of the world couldn’t really partake in it, however. There is good news, as, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney+ will expand to a bunch more countries this year.

Last Wednesday, the company stated that it’s going to make its streaming platform available to 42 more countries and 11 more territories around the world this year. A lot of the countries are European and African countries.

The list of countries includes Egypt, Albania, Estonia, Morocco, South Africa, Iraq, Greece, Hungary, Bosnia, The Czech Republic, Israel, Turkey, Liechtenstein, Poland, Romania, and others. As for the territories, the service will be pushed to French Polynesia, French Southern Territories, Sint Maarten, Svalbard & Jan Mayen, British Indian Ocean Territory, and others.

Right now, we don’t know just when Disney+ will expand to each of the countries. We also don’t know if it will pop up in the countries individually or all at once. All we know is that the company plans for Disney+ to hit them sometime this year.

What is Disney+?

The world is slowly being dominated by streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Tubi, and a bunch more. It’s only fitting that one of the biggest media companies in the world, Disney, should get in on the action. Back in late 2019, Disney unveiled Disney+, its homegrown streaming service.

This service gives users access to EVERYTHING that Disney produced. You watch modern movies like Frozen, Encanto, and Soul. Also, you can watch classic movies like Cinderella and Snow White. You can also watch classic Disney shorts that the company released from the 1920s to the early 2000s.

Users can also watch shows from Disney Channel and Disney XD. There’s also Pixar, National Geographic, Marvel (just not X-Men or Spider-Man/Venom), and Star Wars content. If you want to get this service, it costs $7.99/month.
