Good news for Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Exynos variant owners. According to a new report by SamMobile, the Android 12 One UI 4.0 update is now rolling out for the device.
Recently, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G picked up the Android 12 update. Fast forward to now, it is time for the Galaxy S20 FE 4G Exynos variant to pick up the latest Android 12 update.
To recall, the Galaxy S20 FE Exynos variant is powered by an Exynos 990 SoC. As per the latest report, the Android 12 One UI 4.0 update is rolling out for the S20 FE model number SM-G780F.
The update is currently live for the users of the device in Russia. However, we expect the update to roll out in more regions in the coming weeks.
The best part about the update is that it also bumps the security patch level to December 1, 2021. So, it is advised that you update your phone right away if it is live for your phone.

Android 12 update arrives with firmware version G780FXXS8DUL6
This new Android 12 One UI 4.0 update not only brings Android 12 features for the Galaxy S20 FE Exynos model, but it also adds several One UI 4.0 goodies as well.
Talking about features, the update includes privacy and security enhancements, Material You design, Dynamic Color support, new widgets, and much more.
Additionally, it also brings an extra dim brightness feature, quick settings for accessing the camera and mic, approximate location option, privacy indicators alerting if an app starts using camera or mic, etc.
The firmware, the Android 12 One UI 4.0 update carries version G780FXXS8DUL6. It also brings changes to the design of the Samsung Health and Device Care apps.
If you live in Russia and own a Galaxy S20 FE Exynos model, then you should have received an update notification. It is arriving via OTA in batches.
You can also manually check for the update by heading over to Settings > System updates > Check for updates. Your device will look for new updates on its official servers. If it detects one, you can hit the Download and install button to get the update.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Exynos model came with Android 10 out of the box. It received the stable Android 11 One UI 3.0 update back in December 2020.
So, this is the device’s second major firmware update. There is one more Android OS update left in the bank for the Galaxy S20 FE, as per Samsung’s new update policy.
