Hisense has been making TVs for quite some time. It has one of the most popular proprietary operating systems out there, but it has also moved over to doing Android TV and more recently Roku. Now, it has finally worked with Amazon to create its first Fire TV line of TVs.

Today, the company, along with Amazon introduced the Hisense U6HF Series 50-inch 4K ULED TV. It’s a QLED TV, which is not a first for Fire TV, but it is one of the first. Insignia and Toshiba have launched Fire TV sets that are QLED. But this means you’re going to get a really great picture here.

Hisense has included exclusive ULED technologies for boosting color, contrast, brightness and motion

Hisense has been using its own exclusive ULED technologies for quite some time. And that’s why you’ll see both ULED and QLED mentioned here. These technologies will provide boosted color, contrast, brightness and motion. Making for a really incredible picture quality.

Now as mentioned, this is a 4K TV, it also has Dolby Vision HDR, HDR10 and HDR10+ included. So you’re going to get over 8 million pixels for stunning clarity, deep contrast and vivid colors here.

Hisense has also included Auto Low Latency Mode or ALLM. This means that your TV settings are automatically adjusted for your entertainment to get smooth streaming and uninterrupted gaming.  And there’s also support for Variable Refresh Rate or VRR.

There are four HDMI ports on the back, though none of them are HDMI 2.1 unfortunately. All four do 4K@60Hz, with HDMI 1 doing HDMI-ARC as well for soundbars. There is a USB-A port on the back, along with AV In, Coaxial cable, headphone port, LAN and Digital Audio Out (for those older soundbars). Plenty of ports here, with really only HDMI 2.1 being the only omission. But at this price, we can’t really complain.

Amazon Fire TV is also built into this Hisense TV, so you won’t need to use as many HDMI ports. That also gives you access to Alexa, as well as all of your favorite apps. That includes Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube TV and much more.

When can I buy this TV?

The Hisense U6 Series Fire TV model is up for pre-order today. And it will be released on May 24, 2022.

Right now, there’s only one size for the U6, which is 50-inch. That is priced at $529, which is pretty competitive to LCD TVs of the same size. So you’re getting a really good price here.
