Now, when you’re hanging with a group of friends arguing over what to watch— the pizza’s getting cold and the soda’s getting warm— the last thing you want to think about is playing games, but this could actually work. It’s a new take that will let you all decide on a movie or show.
The IMDb What To Watch App has minigames to help you decide on something
For starters, this app is completely free and it’s exclusive to Fire TV customers in the United States. When you get started, the app will choose a selection of movies or shows based on your watch history. Then, the games begin! There are just a handful of games, but that’s okay. You don’t want to spend time searching for a game just to help you search for a movie.
One game is called Quick Draw. What this game does is represent movies or shows as playing cards, and it “deals” them to you. If you don’t like the options that it gives you, you can ask the app to deal you three more random picks.
Another one is called This or That. This game is pretty straightforward. You’re given a series of this-or-that questions that you’ll answer. Answering these questions will narrow down that search and help the app find something for you.
There are several more games that you can play if you’re looking for something to watch. You can get this app if you have an Amazon Fire TV or any Amazon Fire TV streaming device.
