Amazon has finally announced the official dates for Prime Day this year, after having told everyone on an earnings call that it would move back to July this year. We now know that Prime Day 2022 is set for July 12 and July 13. The action will kick off at 3AM PT and last throughout the 12th and 13th. Giving you 48 hours to save on loads of great deals at Amazon.

This is the first time that Prime Day has happened in July since 2019. In 2020, it was moved all the way back to October due to the pandemic. And then last year Amazon decided to hold it in June to put those sales numbers on its Q2 earnings report. Now, we’re back to the original time-frame.

Prime Day will offer “the lowest prices ever” on select products

It’s still nearly a month away, so Amazon has not given any specifics about Prime Day sales just yet. But it has mentioned that there will be “the lowest prices ever” on a number of products from Beats, Bose, Sony, iRobot and many other well-known brands. That’s a big deal since some of those brands rarely get discounts – like Beats.

Judging by previous years, Amazon has discounted a lot of 4K TVs as well as robot vacuums, headphones and much more. And where Amazon now has its own Fire TV sets that you can buy, expect those to be super cheap on Prime Day too.

As with previous years, you will need to be a Prime member to get a lot of these deals. Some brands will offer discounts on Prime Day and not actually be part of Prime Day. And those don’t need the Prime membership. But there’s really no reason not to be a Prime Member, since you get so many sweet perks. Which we have outlined here. So here’s how you can get a free 30-day trial of Prime, or six-months if you’re a student.
