Samsung is rapidly seeding the June 2022 Android security patch to its devices. The latest security update has rolled out to the Galaxy S20 FE, Galaxy S20 FE 5G, Galaxy A52 5G, and the Galaxy Tab Active Pro in recent days.

The LTE variant of the Galaxy S20 FE is currently receiving the new SMR (Security Maintenance Release) in Russia. The updated firmware version for the phone is G780FXXU9DVE7. The rollout should reach more markets in the coming days.

The Galaxy S20 FE 5G, meanwhile, is already picking up the June SMR widely. Rolling out with firmware version G781BXXU4FVE8, the latest update is available to users in pretty much the whole of Europe, including the UK and the Baltic region. You can expect a global rollout to follow soon.

Coming to the Galaxy A52 5G, the 2021 premium mid-ranger from Samsung is currently picking up this month’s security update in South America. Chile, to be precise. This update comes with firmware version A526BXXS1CVE4. Note that the LTE variant of this phone has already received the June SMR, at least in some markets. The rollout for both variants should expand globally within a few days.

Last but not least, the latest available Android security patch is also now rolling out to Samsung’s Galaxy Tab Active Pro. The three-year-old rugged tablet is picking up the new SMR in the UK. The updated firmware version for the Wi-Fi variant of the device is T540XXS3CVE1. Its cellular (LTE) counterpart is receiving the same update with firmware version T545XXS3CVE1_B2BF. Like with all other devices, this aging Samsung tablet should also pick up the June SMR widely soon.

June security update reaches more Samsung Galaxy devices

Samsung started rolling out the June security update to its devices three weeks back. It has seeded the latest SMR to over a dozen Galaxy smartphone and tablet models so far, including the Galaxy S22 series. It recently revealed that this month’s security patch contains fixes for over 70 vulnerabilities. These include a few critical flaws discovered on Google’s version of Android.

All of these fixes are now rolling out to the Galaxy S20 FE, Galaxy S20 FE 5G, Galaxy A52 5G, and the Galaxy Tab Active Pro as well. Some of these devices may also be getting additional bug fixes and/or enhancements with the latest OTA (over the air) release. Watch out for notification regarding the update in the coming days if you haven’t already received it.
