Amazon is tossing in another perk for Prime members, making that $139/year subscription feel even more worth the money. That’s a year of GrubHub+ for free. This subscription is $9.99/month normally, so it almost pays for a year of Prime right there.

GrubHub+ allows you to order from participating restaurants without paying any delivery fees. And you also get some other benefits like free food and special discounts. However, your order must be at least $12 to make that happen. These days, with prices on food going up left and right, that shouldn’t be too hard to accomplish. Free GrubHub+ is available for new and existing GrubHub+ customers too. Which is really nice.

So why is Amazon doing this? Well, Amazon acquired a 2% stake in GrubHub’s parent company – Just Eat Takeaway. It’s a very small stake in the company, but it definitely will help GrubHub take over competitors like UberEats and Doordash.

How to claim your year of free GrubHub+

Okay, so how can you get your free year of GrubHub+? Head over to this website first.

Then you’ll want to hit the Activate free GrubHub+ button.

Next, you’ll need to sign in or create a GrubHub account.

Now, hit Activate for free.

Next, you’ll need to sign into your Amazon account – though you should already be signed in, since this is only for Prime members.

Then you can hit Order now and you’ll be taken over to GrubHub to order some food.

By signing up for GrubHub+, you will get the service for free for a year, but after that you will be charged $10 per month. You can cancel it at any time, and if you don’t want to keep the membership after your 12 months are up, it’s a good idea to set a reminder to cancel it when it is over.
