Samsung has released new Android 13 beta updates for the Galaxy S21 series and the Galaxy A52. This is the third beta build for the former and the second for the latter. The Korean firm has been beta-testing the new Android version along with its One UI 5.0 custom software since August. It is expected to roll out the stable Android 13 update later this month.

As you might expect, the latest releases fix several bugs that were discovered in previous Android 13 beta builds for the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy A52 phones. Samsung’s official changelog for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra mentions a fix for a sleep mode bug that caused it to activate automatically (via). Another bug prevented the screen from turning on if sleep mode is active. The company has fixed it as well. Samsung has also fixed crashes that occurred when entering the App folder, changing the wallpaper, or using S Pen air commands on compatible models. Issues with vibration feedback have been fixed too.

Additionally, on the Galaxy A52, Samsung has patched an issue with the two-finger swipe gesture for split-screen mode. Other know issues like Bluetooth not appearing in the quick toolbar, fingerprint errors, the draw option not working in the photo editor, and the Settings app crashing when opening Connections have also been fixed.

The latest Android 13 beta releases for the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy A52 phones still contain some known issues. Samsung will fix them with subsequent releases. Or maybe we will directly get the stable build now.

Samsung is nearing the stable Android 13 release

Samsung is also running Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta programs for the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S20 series. The former has already picked up four beta builds and may get one more next week before the stable release. The beta program for the latter only began a couple of weeks back. It will likely get a couple more beta builds.

As said earlier, Samsung is expected to start rolling out the stable Android 13 update to its devices later this month. The Galaxy S22 series should receive it first, followed by other models. We expect the company to seed the new Android version to most of its eligible flagship models before the end of this year. Some premium mid-rangers, such as the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A52, may also get the update before we hit 2023. We will keep you posted with all those updates.
