Not too long ago, Google unveiled that it wanted to ring Google Play Games over to PCs. It’s been beta testing it overseas ever since, but now it’s making it to more markets. The beta for Google Play Games on PC is now available in the US along with other regions, according to Android Police.

At this point, there are several ways to play Android games on your Windows PC. There are legacy methods such as BlueStacks, and newer methods like the Amazon App Store on Windows 11. The issue with the latter method is the fact that you won’t have access to first-party Google apps, as you won’t have access to Google Play services.

However, when Google announced that it wanted to bring Play Games over to PCs, it gave us a lot of hope. Now, we’re only talking about games, so you still won’t be able to use first-party apps on your Windows PC.

Google Play Games for PC is coming to the US

You can now use the beta for Google Play Games for PC if you live in the US, Canada, Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia. This brings the total number of supported markets up to 13 which includes the original five markets: South Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, Taiwan, and Thailand.

If you want to use the Play Games beta, there are some technical requirements your computer will need to meet. Your computer is recommended to have at least 8GB of RAM, a 4-core CPU, and 10GB of free storage space.

How to set up the beta

If you’re looking to try this out, it’s really quick and easy to set up. First off, follow this link. With this link, you will download the installer for the app launcher. The installer will download additional files and install the launcher automatically.

When you first start up the launcher, you will be prompted to sign in with your Google account. Click on the sign-in button and you’ll be taken to a browser window where you will sign in.

After that point, you’ll go through the usual round of accepting terms of service agreements and go right to the games.

At this point, there aren’t a ton of games that you can choose from. That makes sense, as this is a beta. At the moment there are 62 games available. These games include Genshin Impact, Asphalt 9, Summoner’s War, and Sword Art Online: Integral Factor. You can expect more games to come out as the beta goes on
