The Huawei P60 Pro specs have just leaked, and they surprisingly mention the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. This information comes from a Chinese tipster, though not someone we get such info frequently. So, take this info with a grain of salt.

The Huawei P60 Pro specs have just leaked, pointing towards the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

He shared an image of the Huawei P60 Pro’s back, and the phone’s specs alongside it, as you can see in the image provided below. You can see a huge main camera sensor, along with two additional cameras on the back. That camera island does look quite odd, truth be said, and looks a bit disproportionate to the actual specs.

The shared spec sheet reports a 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX888) sensor, along with a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit (Sony’s IMX858 sensor). The third camera on the back will be a 64-megapixel telephoto unit (OmniVision OV64B). That info may as well be true, but we suspect the shared image is not. Those sensors just don’t add up.

In any case, the tipster also mentioned that the 4G variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will fuel the Huawei P60 Pro. That could easily happen, as the Huawei Mate 50 Pro is fueled by the 4G variant of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. We expected that SoC to be included in the P60 Pro too, but Huawei may be looking to grade up.

Huawei plans to include LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage

The tipster did mention that the phone will also include LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage, which are great news. Those are the latest and greatest modules available at the moment.

The device will include a 6.6-inch QHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1920Hz PWM dimming. A 5,000mAh battery was also mentioned, and it will offer 100W wired charging support, along with 50W wireless charging support.

The phone will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, while its front-facing camera will be a 32-megapixel unit. HarmonyOS 3.0 will come out of the box here, and it will come on top of Android, of course. Google services will not be a part of the package.
