Android 12 is now rolling out to the T-Mobile OnePlus 7T. Yes, you read that right, it’s Android 12, and it’s coming with OxygenOS 12. This update is over 4 months late, as it started rolling out to unlocked OnePlus 7T units in October last year.
Android 12 has started rolling out to T-Mobile OnePlus 7T units
Android security patch for December 2022 is coming with this update, based on the changelog. The update is marked as ‘HD1907_11_F.03’, and it weighs almost 4GB. So, make sure you’re connected to a WiFi network before you download it, in case you don’t have unlimited data.
Also, if some of you own the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren, a Community Manager on T-Mobile forums did say that the phone may get an update in the near future. Don’t expect the same to happen for the 7 Pro, though.
At the time of writing this article, neither OnePlus nor T-Mobile officially announced the update. Some people did start getting it, which means that it is rolling out, over-the-air (OTA). Do note that this is a staged rollout, so it may take some time for it to reach your unit.
If you’re unwilling to wait for it to arrive, you can update manually, if you know what you’re doing, that is. A full update package is available via this link, thanks to XDA Developers.
You’ll be getting both Android 12 & OxygenOS 12 improvements here
This upgrade brings your standard Android 12 improvements, issued by Google, on top of everything OnePlus announced with OxygenOS 12. Those of you who have used OxygenOS on another OnePlus device will know exactly what to expect.
There are a ton of additions here, from OnePlus’ side. You’ll be getting three adjustable levels for the dark mode, and new style options for Cards. An Earphone Control Card has been added, and the same goes for the OnePlus Watch Card in the Shelf.
Work Life Balance feature is also a part of this update, while the OnePlus Gallery allows you to switch between different layouts. Canvas AOD has been improved in OxygenOS 12, and more.
