The Huawei P60 series will become official on March 23, as the company recently announced. As we’re waiting for that to happen, the Huawei P60 Pro seemingly surfaced online, in a leaked sketch.
The Huawei P60 Pro sketch reveals a pill-shaped display hole
You can check out the said sketch below this paragraph. You will immediately notice that the phone seems to have some sensors on the front, in the display. We presume that a pill-shaped camera hole will be placed there.
The Huawei Mate 50 Pro had a display notch, as Huawei incorporated all the sensors there, and that includes sensors for 3D facial scanning. The company may have done the same thing here, but opted for a less intrusive pill-shaped hole, instead of a full-blown notch.
Many of you will think of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max here, and that’s understandable. That’s the same route Apple went with. We’re not sure if Huawei will also opt for a Dynamic Island-like set of features related to software, though.
This sketch does also show the phone’s camera island on the back. This phone is expected to feature the company’s XMAGE 2.0 camera setup. The Mate 50 Pro is still one of the best camera smartphones we’ve used, so we have high hopes for this device.
It seems like the device will have flattish sides too, and at least three cameras on the back, if not four. Huawei’s branding can be seen here, in the bottom-left corner, on the phone’s backplate.
The phone will include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, and a powerful camera setup
The Huawei P60 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.6-inch QHD AMOLED display provided by BOE. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will fuel the phone, but the device will be limited to 4G connectivity.
Huawei will also include LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage in the device. A 50-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX888 sensor) is tipped, along with a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (Sony’s IMX858 sensor). A 64-megapixel telephoto camera (OmniVision OV64B sensor, 3.5x optical zoom) was also mentioned.
The phone could include a 5,000mAh battery, and offer support for 100W wired, and 50W wireless charging.
