The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is now official, the most powerful smartphone in the Redmi Note 12 series. The company recently announced its Redmi Note 12 series globally, which consists out of four phones. Well, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is a new addition to the family, but it launched in China, and it even comes in a Harry Potter edition.

Now, the difference between a regular model, and a Harry Potter edition is in the color, and the Harry Potter edition comes with a specific RAM + storage setup. The regular model is available in Carbon Fiber Black, Ice Feather White, and Star Sea Blue colors. The Harry Potter edition has the Harry Potter branding on the back, along with the Hogwarts emblem, and more. You can see all the colors below.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo Harry Potter edition also comes in a special box, of course. You can see the full contents of that box in the image below. There are card pins included here, admission notices, map instructions, theme stickers, and a leather case as well.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo has flat sides, and it’s also flat on the front and the back. The bezels are minimal, and the camera hole is centered. All of its physical buttons sit on the right-hand side, and there are three cameras on the back.

A 120Hz display is included, while the phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC

The phone features a 6.67-inch fullHD+ (2400 x 1080) OLED display. That panel has an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and it goes down to 30Hz. 1,920Hz High Frequency PWM Dimming is also included here, and so is Dolby Vision support.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC fuels the phone, which is the company’s new mid-range chip. The phone includes up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 flash storage. The Harry Potter edition includes 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

A 5,000mAh battery can be found on the inside, while 67W charging is supported. The charger is included in the box, by the way. A side-facing fingerprint scanner is also a part of the package, as is an IR blaster.

Android 13 comes out of the box, while three cameras sit on the back

The phone also has stereo speakers, and an audio jack. There are two nano SIM card slots included, while Android 13 comes pre-installed with Xiaomi’s MIUI 14 skin on top of it.

A 64-megapixel main camera (OIS) is backed by an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera (120-degree FoV). A 2-megapixel macro camera (f/2.4 aperture) also sits on the back. On the front, you’ll find a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

The phone is 161.11mm tall, 74.95mm wide, and between 7.9 and 8.98mm thick. It weighs 181 grams. This handset will go on sale in a couple of days, in China, but there are no details on the global rollout just yet. The prices vary from CNY1,999 ($290) to CNY2,799 ($407).
