Samsung‘s Galaxy Enhance-X app will be soon available for the Galaxy S22 series. The company recently confirmed that the relatively new AI-powered image enhancement app is coming to its 2022 flagships in about 2-3 weeks. It’s already available for the Galaxy S23 lineup.
Samsung originally announced Galaxy Enhance-X in July of last year. However, we had to wait until last month for the app to roll out to users via the Galaxy Store. Unsurprisingly, the company first released the app for its latest flagships. Users of other devices have since been asking when it’ll be available for them.
Responding to one such query from a Galaxy S22 Ultra user, a Samsung Community forum moderator in charge of camera-related updates said on Monday that the company has “almost finished” the development work and will roll it out in a few weeks. The app will probably be available for the 2022 Galaxy flagships in mid-June. We don’t yet have a precise release date, though.
The moderator may have responded to a query specifically about the availability of the Galaxy Enhance-X app for the Galaxy S22 Ultra, but users with a Galaxy S22 or Galaxy S22+ should also get it. Samsung said last year that the app will roll out to all Galaxy smartphones running Android 10-based One UI 2.5 or higher. Whether you’re using a Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, or Galaxy Z series flagship, or a Galaxy A, Galaxy M, or Galaxy F series budget or mid-range model, Galaxy Enhance-X will be available for you.
Galaxy Enhance-X lets you remaster photos like a pro
Galaxy Enhance-X is a photo editing app exclusive to Samsung smartphones. It lets you adjust colors, brightness, sharpness, HDR, and more with just a few taps, thanks to smart AI processing. You get a Magic button that quickly fixes all imperfections in the photo. Tap it and all noise, blur, and loss of detail in your photo will be gone in an instant. You can use a built-in slider to compare the before and after versions and see what has changed.
You also have the option to manually fix moire, those repetitive patterns that appear in photos of a laptop, TV, or tablet’s screen. Additionally, you can adjust the skin color tone, smoothness, eye size, jawline, and more in your face. Galaxy Enhance-X also lets you remove unwanted shadows and reflections from photos.
