Android 14 Beta 1 is now available for the OPPO Find N2 Flip. The company announced the beta program on Wednesday evening, coinciding with Google‘s Android 14 Beta 2 announcement during the I/O conference. OnePlus also opened an Android 14 beta program for the OnePlus 11 on the same day.

As is the case with the OnePlus 11, the Android 14 Beta 1 for the OPPO Find N2 Flip is also intended for developers and advanced users. The company wants to give developers early access to the new Android version so that they can test their apps and create new software experiences for its first-ever clamshell foldable. While it would happily take feedback and bug reports, that’s not the primary purpose of this beta program. OPPO is already aware of some issues and working behind the scenes to fix them.

People who use the OPPO Find N2 Flip as their daily driver should stay away from this beta build, though. For one, Android 14 Beta 1 is still in the early stages of development and may be highly unstable. You may not be able to use certain features. Worse yet, this update could brick your phone, rendering it useless forever. “We do not recommend flashing this ROM if you have little to no experience in software development, if you expect to use the device as a daily driver, or if you have no experience flashing custom ROMs,” OPPO warns. “Be 100% sure of what you are doing.”

How to install Android 14 Beta 1 on the OPPO Find N2 Flip?

If you’re willing to install this unstable Android 14 build on your OPPO Find N2 Flip, it’s a fairly easy process. But unfortunately, the availability appears limited to users in India, Malaysia, and Thailand. The company has provided update packages for only these three markets on its official website. If you live in any of these countries, you can download the respective update package from here and follow the instructions provided on the same page to install Android 14 Beta 1 on your OPPO Find N2 Flip.

Note that this beta update will erase everything stored on your phone. So make sure to back up the important data and files. You also need to ensure a minimum battery level of 30% and 4GB of storage space before installing. As said earlier, this build contains several bugs, including issues with the cover display, AOD, fingerprint registration, and more. If you find it too unstable for your need, OPPO lets you go back to Android 13. Rollback packages and instructions are available on the same page. Stay tuned for the Android 14 Beta 2 update for your OPPO foldable.
