The TicWatch Pro 5 has leaked again and it looks like it might come with a pretty beefy battery inside. A recent report from 9To5Google (highlighting a reddit post), showcases a now removed Amazon listing of the watch with plenty of marketing materials.
While the listing is no longer up on Amazon, it wasn’t pulled before images of the materials could be saved. So there’s next to nothing left to know about the device prior to its launch. Which might just be sooner than you think. The leaked Amazon listing didn’t mention price or the launch date though.
In addition to a rather hefty battery, the marketing materials breaks down just about every single spec, feature, and detail. The watch will run Wear OS 3 and come with a rotating crown that does everything from adjust volume on music to scrolling through tiles or zooming on maps. The watch will also feature a Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 wearable platform. In terms of some of the specs, it’s got 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Which is plenty for a smartwatch. The specs also list a 5ATM rating and a weight of 44.35kg, and dimensions of 50.15 x 48 x 12.2mm.
The TicWatch Pro 5 battery can last for up to 80 hours
Battery life is one of the single most important factors of a smartwatch. If it doesn’t last you long enough to get you through your day, then you either deal with a dead watch battery or you have to charge it back up. The latter option isn’t so bad if the watch charges back up super fast. But it’s certainly all the better when the watch just, lasts for a few days instead. And it seems like the TicWatch Pro 5 may do just that.
According to the marketing materials the battery can last for up to 80 hours on a single charge while in smart mode. Which means even when using all of its features, you should still get a few days out of it. If you need more time, you can pop it into Essential Mode and the watch can last for up to 45 days. On top of all that it charges up to 65% battery in just 30 minutes. So it looks like users will be covered when it comes to battery.
When it comes to other features, the watch is said to have over 100 workout modes, multi-GNSS, custom color backlighting for heart rate tracking, and a whole lot more.
