Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile seems to have an official release window, as IGN reports that the game will be dropping sometime this Fall. Details about the game’s availability on Android and iOS devices comes out of today’s court proceedings in the Microsoft v. FTC case.

Activision CEO Bobby Kotick took the witness stand to answer some of the FTC’s questions. And during that time he happened to mention the release window for Warzone Mobile. The game has yet to hit devices in any official launch capacity. Though it has soft launched in early access in regions like Australia by way of beta tests since late last year. A full global release date however, was not previously known.

Other than sometime in 2023, Activision hadn’t shared exact times for when players worldwide could experience the game. That makes today’s reveal from Kotick a likely very exciting revelation for anyone who’s looking forward to the release.

A Fall release of Warzone Mobile means a global launch is close

The game is still probably months away. But with Kotick’s admission that it will be released this Fall, a global release could be closer than people anticipate. The Fall season will officially start towards the end of September. Which isn’t too far off. That of course doesn’t mean the game will release in early Fall.

Another thing to consider is that Activision may want to time its release to coincide with the upcoming mainline franchise release. Which is supposed to be a follow-up to 2022’s Modern Warfare II. Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is designed to have account parity with console and PC versions of the current Warzone 2.0. Allowing for account progression across the mobile, console, and PC platforms. Including the usability of certain items on Warzone Mobile that may have been unlocked or acquired in the PC or console game.
