Among other things, smartwatches can be a fashion statement. This is why companies add different watch band colorways and styles. The Google Pixel Watch was supposed to get an interesting coral watch band, but it never saw the light of day. Thanks to 9To5Google, we know what it would have looked like.
It seemed as though Google was heavily planning on launching this watch band with its first smartwatch. It even went as far as to share it in promotional material for the watch. It showed up on an Amazon listing and in emails sent by the company. However, the watch eventually launched with the five colors Obsidian, Chalk, Hazel, Charcoal, and Lemongrass.

In the images, we see that Google was far enough along with this band to have actual real-life pictures of it. we see the box it would have come in and the actual band. We see that it’s more playful than the other colors that eventually came with the watch. Most of the other colors were either black, white, or gray. The only exception was the Lemongrass color with its bright greenish-yellow hue.
The Coral colorway seems to be just as bright as Lemongrass, so it would have stuck out on the wrist. That’s something that some people want.
