It was recently revealed that the Google Pixel 8 Pro pre-orders will come with a free Pixel Watch 2. We did not hear anything about the Pixel 8. Well, it turns out that both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will include pre-order freebies, and both phones are posing next to them in the leaked images.

If you check out the two images below this paragraph, you’ll see the Pixel 8 in one, and the Pixel 8 Pro in the other. The rumored ‘Peony’ Pixel 8 stands next to a pair of Pixel Buds. The ‘Sky Blue’ Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, is pictured next to the Pixel Watch.
Now, these images come from Roland Quandt, who simply said ‘Pixel Buds’ will be included, but did not mention the model. The Pixel Buds in the provided pictures are the Pixel Buds Pro, though, not the A-series model. So, we’re guessing that ones are coming.
One thing to note is that these pre-order perks will be market-dependent. This info almost certainly relates to the US, while it may not be available in other markets. Other markets may get different pre-order perks, or none at all. It all depends.
They will become official on October 4
The Google Pixel 8 series will become official on October 4. Those two phones are coming alongside the Pixel Watch 2 smartwatch. We’ve already seen a ton of leaks showing all of those products, so they’re hardly a secret at this point, especially the Pixel 8 series.
The Pixel 8 will be the smaller of the two phones, and include one less camera on the back. Both phones will come with a new chip, the Google Tensor G3, and both will include a new main camera sensor on the back.
Brighter displays will be a part of the package, but the charging speed will remain the same as last year. Android 14 will come pre-installed on both phones, of course. The Pixel 8 will be more expensive in the US, while the Pixel 8 Pro will retain the same price tag as last year’s model.
