recent update to the Google Pixel Sounds app brings the new Gem collection of ringtones and alarm sounds. These sounds became official with the launch of the Pixel 8 series, but now other Pixel devices are getting it. There are a total of 26 new sounds that this update comes with for users to pick between.

Pixel users will be able to access these sounds from the Sounds app, but users of other Android smartphones won’t be able to do so. This is because the Pixel Sounds App is only available for Pixel smartphones, making the new sounds exclusive. Making up the 26 new sounds are eight ringtones, nine default notifications, and nine default alarm sounds.

With these new additions, users will be able to add a bit of flare to their everyday routines. They now have more nice alarm sounds to wake up to and also notification sounds to inform them of new messages. Here are all the new sounds that are now available with the Google Gem collection update.

Everything new on the Google Gem collection that is rolling out to Pixel devices

The update bringing these new sounds to Pixel devices was done in the background. This means that Pixel users didn’t initiate the Pixel Sounds app update via Play Store, as it was an automatic system upgrade. All the new sounds can now be found on the settings page under the ‘Sound and Vibration’ options.

Opening this settings option will reveal media, call, ring, notification, and alarm volume adjustments along with a few other settings. To access the new Gem ringtones, users are to select the ‘Phone ringtone’ settings option. This will pull up all ringtone collections available to Pixel users; the new Gem collection is the third option.

The Gem ringtones hold a total of eight options that users can pick from to change their current ringtone. To access the new Gem notification and alarm sounds, users will select either settings option on the ‘Sound and Vibration’ page. Both settings options come after the ‘Phone ringtone’ option on the page.

Just like for the ringtones, the Gem collection for notifications and alarms is the third option on their lists. They both contain nine entries that users can pick from when selecting a new notification or alarm sound. To select the new Gem ringtone, notification, or alarm sound that best fits them, users can tap on the options to hear them play.

So if you own a Pixel device you can now head over to your settings app and explore these new sounds. If you can’t find the new Pixel Gem collection in your settings app, then you are yet to get the update. The update is still rolling out to users, and it’ll get to your device in the coming days.
