We’ve all been patient in our wait for the upcoming OnePlus Open. After being delayed last month, we were all wondering when we were going to get our hands on this phone. Well, thanks to a tweet from Kinder Liu, we finally know the launch date of the OnePlus Open, and it’s close.
This is going to be the company’s first foldable phone. So far, it looks like this device will be a powerful piece of tech. However, OnePlus can’t quite take all of the credit, as the company confirmed that this is basically a rebrand of the Oppo Find N3. However, we’re not complaining, as Oppo has been able to make some killer foldable phones.
The launch date for the OnePlus Open is finally official, and it’s around the corner
If you’ve been waiting for the official launch of this device, then there’s not much more time to wait. Thanks to a tweet from Kinder Liu, we know that OnePlus will launch the foldable phone on October 19th. That’s only a week from now. The event’s going to happen in Mumbai at 10 AM EST/ 4 PM CEST/ 7:30 PM IST. So, it will happen pretty early for folks who live in the United States.
So far, we’ve seen a bunch of information about this phone, and it looks like it’s going to be one of the most powerful foldable phones on the market. Looking at the displays, it looks like the outer display will be a 6.3-inch panel with a 2484 x 1116 resolution. As for the inner display, it could be a 7.82-inch panel with a 2268×2440 resolution.
This device could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is the most powerful chip from the company so far. Also, it could be backed up by 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
We still need to wait for more information about this phone. The October 19th launch date is just around the corner, so there’s not much more time to wait. Mark your calendar for the launch date.
