Google has published a series of videos showcasing major camera features of the Pixel 8 series. Its official YouTube channel has eight short videos that quickly make you familiar with the camera system of the new phones. The videos show that artificial intelligence (AI) plays a key role in improving the Pixel 8 camera experience.

Google has heavily focused on AI enhancements with the Pixel 8

AI is all over the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Google is leveraging the advanced AI capabilities of the Tensor G3 processor to offer a whole new camera experience. It has improved the Magic Editor feature to give you more effective results. In videos, AI can help detect unwanted noise, such as wind sounds, and let you remove it, only keeping the actual sound you wanted to record. Google calls the feature the Audio Magic Eraser.

The Pixel 8 series also uses on-device AI to quickly unblur your blurry pictures that capture some candid moments. You can enjoy the moment without worrying about pictures coming out unpleasant. If you’re with your friends, chances are high that not everyone looks their best in a photo. The Best Take feature fixes this problem as well. Simply capture multiple photos and select the best expression for each face individually across those photos.

Your Pixel 8 will then merge those expressions together to give you a photo where everyone looks perfect. No more closed eyes or twisted tongues in photos. Artificial intelligence gets rid of those imperfections. “Yep, that’s the AI, only in the Pixel 8,” Google says. The company has made multiple videos for all of these camera features found on its latest smartphones. We have embedded them all in this article.
