Sometimes, it helps not to jump on a phone the moment that it’s released. Oftentimes, companies will release their devices in different colorways a few months after the original device launch. This is the case with OnePlus, and this year, we’re all seeing red. OnePlus just showed off a new limited edition Solar Red OnePlus 11R, according to Android Central.
This phone has a sleek and deep red color to it. The back, this time around, isn’t made from glass. Rather, it’s made from vegan leather. You can see the stitching pattern running up and down the back of the phone. The red leather covers the entire back of the phone with the exception of the camera package. The circular package still stands out in all of its semi-glossy glory.
Now, if you know about the company’s naming scheme, then you’ll most likely be disappointed. This red OnePlus 11R is exclusive to the Indian market. We’re not sure if the company plans on releasing alternate colors to other markets. So, if you’re in the Indian market, and you like this aesthetic, then you’re in luck.
The Solar Red OnePlus 11R has some boosted specs
This isn’t just a OnePlus 11R with a new outfit; the phone has a few boosted specs. The majority of the specs remain the same, however.
Starting with what’s new, this phone has a whopping 18GB of RAM. That’s backed up by 512GB of storage. Those are some of the best specs that you can get on a phone right now.
The rest of the specs are the same as the OnePlus 11R. We’re looking at a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, so power won’t be an issue for this phone. It’s not the latest and greatest Snapdragon chip on the market, but it’s still extremely powerful.
Moving onto the display, you’re getting a gorgeous 6.74-inch Fluid AMOLED display. It has a resolution of 1240 x 2772. The display has a refresh rate of 120Hz, HDR10+, and a peak brightness of 1450 nits.
Moving onto the camera tech, this phone has a 50MP main camera that’s accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. Up front, we’re looking at a 16MP selfie camera.
Right now, we don’t know how much this phone is going to cost or when it’s coming out. We do know that it will be relatively soon, so stay tuned for more information about it.
