Instagram got plenty of new features and tweaks in 2023. One of the greatest additions to Instagram this year was integrating with Threads as a rival for Elon Musk-owned X. Instagram is now more than just a photo/video sharing app, and it keeps getting better with every update. For 2024, Meta aims to continue overhauling Instagram’s interface and user experience, starting with a feature to let users share someone else’s Instagram profile on their Stories.
As Wccftech reports, the leaker and app developer Alessandro Paluzzi has spotted the feature on Instagram. The way this feature works is also straightforward. Similar to a regular “Add to Story” option, it lets you share another profile on your Instagram Story and invite your followers to visit and follow the page.
This works excellently for influencers or those who want to give a boost to their other profiles. For example, let’s say you have a business page and want to introduce it to your followers. You can simply add the profile to your Story and invite them to view and follow the page.

As you can see in the screenshot below, a “View Profile” button appears on the Story that invites viewers to visit the mentioned profile. Instagram lets you share many things on Stories, including other people’s posts. But the latest addition makes enhancing a profile’s recognition even easier.
Instagram has yet to fine-tune the feature, and it’s still unknown when it will land in the app. But you can expect to get the feature in early 2024. Hopefully, it will be a few weeks after the new year begins. Instagram could also be simultaneously developing several new features for the start of the new year.
Meanwhile, before going into 2024, Instagram released plenty of cool features for users, including the ability to post video notes, Story Templates, change Stories’ backgrounds using AI, and more. For 2024, the Meta-owned platform can add more AI-driven features and bring deeper integration with Threads.
