Warner Bros Discovery announced today that Max is now available via YouTube Primetime channels. This means that subscribers can now subscribe to Max’s ad-free tier and watch Max through the YouTube app. Making it much easier to subscribe, pause, and cancel your Max subscription.

With Max on YouTube Primetime, you can now watch your favorite shows from CNN, the Food Network, TLC, HGTV, and much more all from within the YouTube app.

Max is currently priced at $15.99 per month for the ad-free tier. There is an ad-supported tier for $9.99 monthly. However, that is not available on YouTube Primetime channels just yet.

In addition to Max being available on YouTube now, it is also adding CNN Max and B/R Sports for a limited time. These two channels were also added to YouTube TV today for those who subscribe to Max through YouTube TV. These two channels launched on Max back in the fall, and now they are being included in YouTube TV.

B/R sports is the company’s new sports tier that launched in October, and it is currently free to all subscribers until February 29, 2024. After that, it will cost $9.99 per month. Meanwhile, CNN Max is not the same as the cable channel. Instead, this is a custom 24/7 feed of CNN programs. You’ll find exclusive programming for Max here, including some new programming too, like CNN Newsroom with Jim Acosta, Rahel Solomon, Amara Walker, and Fredericka Whitfield. Anderson Cooper 360, The Lead with Jake Tapper, and many more shows will be available, too.

Why is WBD bringing Max to YouTube?

Why would Warner Bros Discovery want to make Max available on YouTube, where subscribers don’t even need to use the Max app? Well, it’s quite simple. This makes Max available in more places, which should mean more subscribers signing up for Max. And bringing it to YouTube is a no-brainer. It’s an app that quite literally everyone has installed on their phones, laptops, and likely TVs as well.

For subscribers, bringing Max to YouTube is a big deal, as it makes it a hub for you to subscribe to all of your favorite streaming services and a quick way to also pause or cancel your services. That’s one of the beautiful things about streaming. You can start, pause, or cancel a service without any issues. And it takes quite literally a minute to do so. Versus cable, where you need to call up the cable company and have them beg you to stay before they finally disconnect you.

You can sign up for Max today on YouTube.
