The company published a product page for the unannounced fitness tracker on its official website, complete with its detailed specs, features, and renders showing its design from various angles. The only thing missing was the price. A new leak has now revealed the price too, courtesy of retail boxes spotted in a store.
The Galaxy Fit 3 retail boxes reveal its price
The Galaxy Fit 3 is Samsung’s first fitness tracker in over three years. The previous model, Galaxy Fit 2, arrived in September 2020. Rumors about the new device started circulating in late 2023 after it was certified by the FCC. Several leaks and rumors have followed since, revealing bits about the product. Samsung then spilled the beans itself last week, leaving little to the imagination.
Considering how detailed the now-deleted product page for the Galaxy Fit 3 was, it appeared the official launch of the device was just around the corner. The latest sighting suggests the same. Someone recently spotted retail boxes of the fitness tracker in a store in the Dar es Salaam city of Tanzania. The device is reportedly priced at 2,50,000 shillings in the country. It converts to roughly $99, which is in line with its rumored pricing.
A photo published on Samsungcommunity.com shows the retail boxes for the Gray and Silver color variants of the Galaxy Fit 3. Samsung has also readied the fitness tracker in Pink Gold. The device features a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with support for over 100 preloaded watch faces. Its body is made of aluminum and boasts 5ATM and IP68 ratings for strong dust and water resistance.
The Galaxy Fit 3 lacks GPS, NFC, and Wi-Fi. It also misses out on a speaker. However, it offers vibration alerts for notifications about incoming calls and messages on your connected smartphone. The fitness tracker also lets you control music and send text messages. It features a home button on the side and supports gestures for intuitive and seamless navigation as you browse through various functions.
It is a great health companion at an affordable price
Samsung is returning to the fitness band scene with a compelling product. In terms of looks, the Galaxy Fit 3 is identical to many so-called smartwatches out there. And when it comes to functionality, the device appears to be a great health companion.
