The OnePlus Watch 2 twin is coming in about a week, and it’s coming from OPPO. The watch in question is called the OPPO Watch X, and it appeared on both the 3C and MIIT certification websites.

OnePlus announced that the OnePlus Watch 2 will launch on February 26 in Barcelona. The company already opened up early bird reservations for the device and showed us what will it look like.

OnePlus and OPPO are sister companies, and we’ve seen them release the same phones with different brandings in the past. The OnePlus Open and OPPO Find N3 are good examples.

The OnePlus Watch 2 twin is coming soon, and it’s called the OPPO Watch X

The same will seemingly happen here too, it seems. The OPPO Watch X will likely look the same as the OnePlus Watch 2. It will arrive a couple of days later, though, on February 29.

The OPPO Watch X will launch in Malaysia on the said date. It will be available in different markets, including Malaysia, China, and some others. OPPO sells its devices in both China and outside of it, as does OnePlus, but OnePlus has a stronger presence outside of its homeland.

The OPPO Watch X smartwatch was certified with the ‘OWWE231’ model number. The model number of the OnePlus Watch 2 was ‘OPWWE231’. Considering that these two model numbers are almost the same, save for one letter, it’s safe to assume they’ll look identical.

OPPO’s new smartwatch will offer 4G LTE support

One of the certifications also notes that the OPPO Watch X will feature 4G LTE support through its eSIM functionality.

Considering this watch will almost certainly be a rebrand of the OnePlus Watch 2, we also know what to expect in the spec department. The OPPO Watch X is expected to include a 1.43-inch OLED display, which will be round. It will offer a resolution of 466 x 466.

The Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 is expected to fuel the watch, along with BES 2700. 1GB of RAM is expected, along with a 500mAh battery. 10W charging will likely be on offer as well. Wear OS will come pre-installed on the watch.

The watch will be made out of metal, and it will feature two buttons on the right-hand side. The top button could double as a rotating crown, we’ll see.
