Samsung’s Galaxy Ring has surfaced in the company’s Good Lock app. It has been spotted by a user on Reddit. The South Korean brand officially showcased its first-ever smart ring earlier this month at the Galaxy S24 Series launch event. Since then, there has been plenty of excitement about Samsung’s new product line in the wearables realm.
Samsung Galaxy Ring appears in the Good Lock app
The screenshot shared by a user on Reddit shows the Galaxy Ring listed along with other devices in the Good Lock app. It mentions which devices can be shown on the battery widget on the smartphone. The feature is quite useful as it shows the battery status of all connected devices. For those unaware, the Good Lock app lets Galaxy phone users customize their phone’s interface and helping them do more with their device.
The Good Lock app listing does not reveal any core details. However, it suggests that the smart ring’s development is currently underway.
What do we know about the Samsung Galaxy Ring so far?
Samsung revealed very little information about the Galaxy Ring by just giving us a glimpse and confirming support for Samsung Health. The South Korean brand claimed that the smart ring will change the shape of future health like only Samsung can. The teaser video also hinted at the presence of a heart-rate monitor and pogo pins for charging.
Meanwhile, as per a Tech Analyst who spent some hands-on time on the Galaxy Ring revealed that it will be available in sizes up to 13. It is also ridiculously lightweight. The upcoming wearable device will also be available in three finishes.
The Samsung Galaxy Ring is expected to launch later this year with the exact timeline remaining a mystery. It could go official at the next Unpacked event in August which focuses on the Galaxy Z Foldables, Galaxy Watch, and Galaxy Tablets.
With Samsung’s entry, the smart rings segment could become the hottest consumer tech segment and something to look forward to.
