Samsung‘s upcoming fitness tracker, the Galaxy Fit 3, has been subject to another leak. An Instagram user recently shared an early hands-on video of the device even before the company officially unveiled it. The new Fit is still missing a launch date.

Galaxy Fit 3 leaked in early hands-on video

Over the past few weeks, we have seen the Galaxy Fit 3 leak through various channels. Most notably, Samsung itself prematurely published a product page for the device on its official website. It later deleted the page but the internet had already saved a snapshot of it. The listing revealed detailed specs and health features of the new fitness tracker, the company’s first in over three years (Fit 2 arrived in September 2020).

We also recently saw an official user manual for the Galaxy Fit 3 pop up online. Before that, someone spotted the device in a retail store in Tanzania. The wearable is reportedly priced at 2,50,000 shillings (roughly $99) in the country. Now, we have a hands-on video showing the device in real life and not just in renders. The video was shared by Instagram user hosam_phone and features audio in Arabic.

This is our best look at the Galaxy Fit 3 yet. The upcoming wearable looks a lot like the Apple Watch or any other rectangular smartwatch out there, rather than a fitness tracker. It sports a bright 1.6-inch AMOLED display and comes with more than 100 pre-loaded watch faces, some of which can be seen in this video. The new model is a massive step up from the Fit 2 launched over three years ago.

Samsung’s brain fade moment revealed that the Galaxy Fit 3 will feature an aluminum body with 5ATM and IP68 waterproofing. It will support gestures and vibration alerts for calls and messages, while you can reply to messages and control music playback from the device. The wearable can track over 100 different exercises and offers a wide range of health features. It is rated to last 13 days on a single charge on typical usage.

An official unveiling might be just around the corner

This video of the Galaxy Fit 3 appears to have been captured in a retail store, not necessarily in the same store where it was spotted a little while ago. We can see the device in gray and silver colors. Previous leaks have also shown it in a pink-gold hue. With retailers seemingly starting to stock up on the wearable, it shouldn’t be long before Samsung takes the wraps off it. We may get official word from the company soon.
