MSI’s upcoming handheld gaming PC, dubbed the MSI Claw, seems to have an official release date with the launch coming up very soon. The MSI Claw will be the latest handheld gaming PC to hit the market once it arrives, following the likes of the Lenovo Legion Go and the ASUS ROG Ally. Both of which followed the Steam Deck, which followed numerous releases from companies like GPD and AYANEO. ASUS is even planning a 2nd-Gen ROG Ally for later in 2024 and Valve released the Steam Deck OLED.

Finally, the handheld gaming PC market is exploding and more companies are coming out with their own offerings. Bringing some much-needed competition to the space that Valve dominated for the better part of a year. When MSI initially announced the Claw handheld back at CES 2024, there were two details that weren’t available to the public. The launch date, and the price. Now it seems we have both.

The MSI Claw is due to launch this week, starting at $699

Those wondering how much the MSI Claw will cost or when it will arrive, need wonder no more. Spotted by TechRadar, Newegg appears to have listed the MSI Claw handheld on its storefront. Complete with pricing details and a launch date.

The MSI Claw will come in three different storage variants. Starting with the least expensive option, $699 will secure you the Claw with 512GB of storage. This also comes with a slightly lower-powered APU — the Intel Core Ultra 5-135H. If you’re willing to bump up to the two more expensive models you can get a boost to the APU (and thereby the performance) as well as the storage. MSI will also be offering the Claw at $749 which is the next step up. This one still comes with 512GB of storage but the APU is now the Intel Core Ultra 7-155H. And if you spring for the $799 model, you get the same APU as the one for $749 but you go from 512GB of storage to 1TB.

All of these will be available via Newegg and launch this month. The $749 model launches on March 8 but pre-orders already appear to be out of stock. However, you can still secure pre-orders of the model at $699 and $799. These will both be launching on March 15, however. So you will have to wait a little longer before it ships out. Still, if you want to be one of the first to own one, you’ll have to deal with the wait.
