Xiaomi has just announced a launch date for its upcoming POCO flagship. The POCO F6 series will become official on May 23. The company will host a press event in Dubai, and this will be a global launch, of course.

The POCO F6 and POCO F6 Pro handsets are expected. The press event will kick off at 3 PM local time. That translates to 1 PM CET / noon BST / 4:30 PM India / 7 AM EST / 4 AM PST.
POCO is using ‘HyperPower Evolved’ tagline for this launch event. The POCO F6 Pro will be the star of the show here. And while the POCO F6 will be inferior to it, that device is expected to pack some punch too.
As per usual, these two smartphones are expected to be quite powerful and have an appealing price tag at the same time. That has been POCO’s thing from the get-go.
The POCO F6 Pro will essentially be a rebranded Redmi K70
The POCO F6 Pro is actually expected to be a rebranded Redmi K70 which has already been launched. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is expected to fuel the phone, while a 5,000mAh battery will also be a part of the package.
The POOC F6 Pro will have a 50-megapixel main camera, along with 120W charging, and more. The POCO F6, on the flip side, will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, and also include a 50-megapixel main camera, but a different one.
POCO did show the design of both upcoming smartphones already
POCO did reveal partial designs of both smartphones ahead of this launch event. If you take a look at the gallery below, you’ll see both smartphones there
The POCO F6 Pro will have three cameras on the back, as you can see. Its camera island will take quite a bit of space at the top of the phone’s backplate. The POCO F6, on the other hand, has one less circle on the back, and possibly two rear-facing cameras. Both devices will have flat sides all around.
