Next month, Samsung is planning to announce the new Galaxy Watch 7 series, which includes two sizes of the Galaxy Watch 7 and an all-new Galaxy Watch Ultra. However, we have all of the specs for both watches right here.

First off, the Galaxy Watch 7 will come in 40mm and 44mm sizes – the same as the Galaxy Watch 6. It will come in green and cream. This will use Armor Aluminum 2 with a Sapphire Crystal display. That’s something that Apple saves for its most expensive watch only. The Galaxy Watch 7 will also stick with the same durability, which is 5ATM and IP68 with MIL-STD-810H certification. So, this watch will be able to withstand basically anything. On the battery front, it will also remain the same, with a 300mAh capacity battery in the 40mm, and 425mAh in the 44mm model. We’d expect battery life to get slightly better, but maybe not noticeably better when compared to the Galaxy Watch 6.

The biggest upgrade on the Galaxy Watch 7 is likely going to be the new chipset. Samsung is moving from a 5nm processor to a 3nm processor. That’s going to make it smaller, more powerful and more power efficient. This year, Samsung did hear all of our complaints about storage, and doubled it to 32GB. And finally, peak brightness has not topped 2,000 nits.

Samsung’s all-new Galaxy Watch Ultra is here to rival Apple’s Watch Ultra

Previously, Samsung released a “Pro” version of its Galaxy Watch back in 2022. That was the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, when everyone thought that Apple’s new big watch was going to be called “Pro” instead of “Ultra”. Now, Samsung has renamed it and also upgraded quite a few aspects of the watch, and it’s clear who this watch will be marketed towards.

Back in April, we revealed that a Galaxy Watch Ultra model was indeed in the works, thanks to it being mentioned in a software build. And now we have the full specs of this monster of a smartwatch.

Like the Apple Watch Ultra, the Galaxy Watch Ultra also has a 47mm case size and is made of titanium. This includes Titanium Gray, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Beige. Durability is a bit better than the regular Galaxy Watch 7, with now 10ATM and IP58, also sticking with the MIL-STD-810H certification. Despite the larger case size compared to the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, the battery capacity is the same – 590mAh.

Samsung is using the same 3nm processor inside, with 32GB of storage. However, the main difference here is that the peak brightness will hit 3,000 nits. And you know what other smartwatch has 3000 nits of peak brightness? The Apple Watch Ultra 2. Finally, the Galaxy Watch Ultra is only going to be sold as an LTE with Bluetooth model. That’s going to drive the price higher, but you don’t need to attach it to a carrier if you don’t want to.

We don’t have pricing just yet but we do expect it to stay pretty much the same as the Galaxy Watch 6, with the Galaxy Watch Ultra being a bit pricier than the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. That’s due to the fact that there won’t be a Bluetooth-only model, and it’s also got a larger casing this year.

We are expecting Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked to take place on July 10 from Paris. Where these new watches, along with the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and possibly some new earbuds, could be announced.
