Samsung is gearing up to launch its first Fan Edition (FE) smartwatch later this month. Rumors say the Galaxy Watch FE will go official on June 24. Ahead of that, official-looking renders of the wearable have leaked to reveal its design details. We have a dozen images showing the watch in three different colors from multiple angles, courtesy of the ever-reliable, Evan Blass, aka EVleaks.

Leaked renders reveal all Galaxy Watch FE colors

The Galaxy Watch FE is a rebadged Galaxy Watch 4 with the latest version of Wear OS and One UI Watch out of the box. Samsung is re-launching its 2021 flagship offering as an entry-level product ahead of the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra’s launch next month. At the rumored price of $199 or less, it’s a compelling Wear OS smartwatch. It’d be a sweeter deal if the device gets the same level of update support as the original version, i.e., four major feature updates.

While we wait for Samsung to officially confirm all these smaller details, leaks continue to spill beans on the Galaxy Watch FE. Well, it isn’t a new product, so there’s hardly anything we don’t know. The Korean firm isn’t changing any internal hardware component, nor it’s tweaking the watch’s design. It’s the same watch as the Galaxy Watch 4 inside out, including the RAM (1.5GB), storage (16GB), and processor––the Exynos W920 that also powered the Galaxy Watch 5 series.

Samsung isn’t changing the color options either. The Galaxy Watch FE comes in the same three colors as the 2021 model. The black and pink gold variants are paired with a color-matching wrist strap. The silver variant, meanwhile, gets a bluish strap, which is a rare change. Samsung paired the silver Galaxy Watch 4 with an identical strap. The company has also added some colorful bits to the straps near their connector, so that’s another differentiator.

The strap has been upgraded to the One-Click connector button

The tiny orange and blue blocks on the Galaxy Watch FE’s straps are purely aesthetic with no functional value. However, the wrist straps get a valuable change too. Samsung has upgraded from the old pin-based ejection mechanism to the One-Click connector button, which is more convenient for removing the strap. The company introduced this design with the Galaxy Watch 6 series last year. If rumors are accurate, we are less than two weeks away from the Galaxy Watch FE’s unveiling. You can expect more leaks in the build-up to the launch event.
