Both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will have bigger camera bumps. This information comes from Ice Universe, one of the most prominent tipsters out there.
The iPhone 16 Pro series will arrive with bigger camera bumps
He shared the information via X, while sharing some additional details, and an image of the camera bump too. If you check out the image below, you’ll see a sketch of one of the two phones, and the camera bumps on it.
The tipster also mentioned that both phones will come with a raised camera bump by 3.9mm. That may not seem as much, but in this context, it kind of is. You certainly do notice a 3.9mm difference when it comes to width and thickness, so this will also be noticeable.
On one hand, this could annoy users who hate big camera bumps. On the other hand, it is usually a sign of improvement in terms of camera hardware. So… it’s mostly a good thing.
The iPhone 16 Pro will end up offering a Tetraprism lens
Both smartphones will come with improved camera hardware, but the iPhone 16 Pro deserves to be mentioned in specific. Why? Well, it will get that Tetraprism lens that was included on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The iPhone 16 Pro will no longer be limited to a regular telephoto camera, and it’s about time. That’s perhaps part of the reason why Apple decided to make the phone bigger this time around.
They will also arrive with bigger displays this time around
Both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will offer bigger displays. The two phones will have 6.3 and 6.9-inch displays, respectively. That’s a 0.2-inch difference compared to current-gen models.
What’s interesting is that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are tipped to retain the same display sizes as their predecessors. So those two phones won’t deliver a change in that department.
