This week Samsung announced new Odyssey gaming monitors at Computex 2024 with the Odyssey OLED G8 and the Odyssey OLED G6, and those monitors are now available for pre-order if you’re looking to secure one for your upgraded gaming setup.
Packed with features that gamers will love, both the Odyssey OLED G8 and Odyssey OLED G6 are designed to deliver an unparalleled gaming experience. They come with some of Samsung’s most advanced gaming features and monitor technology, such as Samsung Gaming Hub for access to GeForce NOW and other cloud gaming services, OLED Glare Free, and OLED Safeguard+.
They also both come with lightning-fast refresh rates, with 4K UHD and QHD resolution panels for the G8 and G6 respectively. The Odyssey OLED G8 also comes with a 32-inch display and a 240Hz refresh rate, while the Odyssey OLED G6 has a 360Hz refresh rate on its smaller 27-inch display.
Naturally, being some of Samsung’s most advanced gaming monitors comes at a price. The Odyssey OLED G8 is available for pre-order at $1,299.99 and the Odyssey OLED G6 is available for pre-order at $899.99. Although these are expensive, Samsung is tossing in some gifts for those who order the monitors early. This gift comes in the form of Samsung credit that can be used on any other purchase. For instance, you could pre-order the Odyssey OLED G8 and then use the credit on a second one of those monitors later on.
The caveat is that you can’t use the credit to take money off the initial monitor price. Still, it’s a nice perk. And one worth taking advantage of if there’s other Samsung gear you want.
Pre-order the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 and get a chance to win $5,000 in Samsung credit
Samsung is trying to drive a little extra incentive here by giving out $5,000 in Samsung credit. This could be used on anything from additional monitors to TVs, smartphones, or any audio gear. Essentially, if it’s available on Samsung.com, you can use the credit on it.
Those who pre-order will get 10 entries into this giveaway from Samsung. It is worth noting that you can enter this sweepstakes without any purchases needing to be made. However, you appear to have extra chances at winning for pre-ordering these new monitors.
It’s also worth noting that you can pre-order any of Samsung’s newly announced monitors from Computex. Not just the Odyssey OLED G8. This means the Odyssey OLED G6 and the others as well.
Samsung is launching five more monitors today
Samsung makes more than just gaming monitors and today’s live pre-orders include five more monitor options. This includes the ViewFinity S8 and ViewFinity S7, as well as the new M8, M7, and M5 smart monitors. The M7 is one to keep an eye on if you like bigger screens. Because it comes in a 43-inch model. All of these range from 4K UHD to Full HD and prices for them start at $349.99 for the ViewFinity S7, $399.99 for the ViewFinity S8 (S80D), and $449.99 for the ViewFinity S8 (S80UD).
Meanwhile, the Smart Monitor M5 starts at $279.99, the M7 at $399.99, and the M8 at $699.99. All five of these monitors plus the two Odyssey OLED monitors will have credits for early orders as well. It will vary in price though depending on the monitor. The Odyssey OLED G8 comes with a $300 credit. Whereas the Odyssey OLED G6 gets a $200 credit. The Smart Monitor M5 gets a $50 credit, while the ViewFinity S8 (S80D) and ViewFinity S7, as well as the Smart Monitor M7, get $75 credits. Lastly, the ViewFinity S8 (S80UD) gets a $100 credit and the Smart Monitor gets a $150 credit.
