A few days back, a Reddit user shared his hands-on experience with the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, Samsung’s upcoming premium wireless earbuds. Now, the vanilla Galaxy Buds 3 has surfaced in an early unboxing and hands-on video before launch. Both pair will go official on Wednesday, July 10.

Galaxy Buds 3 leaked in an early unboxing video

X user @OnlyTechAE posted a 24-second video and a couple of photos showing the Galaxy Buds 3 in gray/black and white colors, the only two colorways the buds are expected in. The source, who appears to be based in the UAE, didn’t specify whether they purchased the earphones or acquired them via other means. They also didn’t comment on the sound quality and user experience.

However, we get a closer look at the Galaxy Buds 3’s redesigned stemmed body and the new charging case with a transparent lid. The Pro also has a stemmed design but features rubber ear tips. The lack of ear tips makes the vanilla model look more like Apple’s AirPods. People might accuse Samsung of copying its arch-rival, but this is a more practical design for wireless earbuds.

For some originality, Samsung has made the stems angular rather than rounded. If you are wondering about those blue and orange indicators on the case, this is a new style element the firm added to its products this year. The buds also feature the same indicators at the bottom of the stem—blue on the left bud and orange on the right. They help you identify the right slot for the buds in the case.

Samsung is also using similar color-coded indicators on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Additionally, these colorful bits can be found on the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, and Galaxy Watch FE straps. The Pro earbuds also have what the company calls Blade Lights, a strip of LED light running down the stem. It lights up when charging and also produces lighting effects during media playback.

The new Samsung earbuds may cost a little more than their predecessors

The Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro have been subject to numerous leaks lately. From their design and features to their alleged prices, we already have an idea of what Samsung has prepared this year. Leaks have hinted at improved sound quality, call clarity, durability, touch controls, and battery life. The buds may also see a small price hike. The Korean firm will reveal it all tomorrow. The Unpacked event in Paris will also debut new foldables and watches.
