The OnePlus 12R is already an impressive smartphone from the company. Now, the higher-end model has been reduced to $399 on Amazon, that’s a $100 discount – the same discount that we saw on Prime Day last week. But it gets even sweeter, as you can pick up the 16GB RAM and 256GB of storage model for $499 – also a $100 discount. You really won’t find a better phone for this money in 2024.
OnePlus launched the 12R earlier this year, and it’s a compelling device. As you’d expect from OnePlus, it has all of the latest and greatest specs. This includes a 6.78-inch FHD+ display, 8GB or 16GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of storage, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 inside. The processor is slightly older, being the 2023 flagship model from Qualcomm, but it is still a very good processor in 2024. This is paired with a 5,500mAh capacity battery and 80W charging (100W in the EU).
In our review, we called the OnePlus 12R the “Best $500 phone you can buy”. That title obviously called out the starting price of the 8GB/128GB model, which is still $499. What we really liked about the OnePlus 12R is the dual vapor chamber, which does a really good job of keeping the phone nice and cool, even while gaming.
