Fortnite is available again for Android globally and iPhones in the EU

Epic Games’ popular battle royale game is finally making a comeback to mobile devices after a long gap of four years. The game hasn’t been available on the App Store and Google Play since 2020. However, now Fortnite for mobile is once again available for Android users globally. In Addition, the game has made a comeback on iOS, but only in the European Union for now.

In a press briefing, Tim Sweeney, Epic Games CEO, said that the game maker had spent hundreds of millions of dollars in the legal battle with these platforms. Finally, the EU regulators and other antitrust activity around the globe ultimately forced Apple and Google to let Epic return.

Furthermore, the company mentioned that it is bringing Fortnite back on iOS devices in the EU thanks to the Digital Markets Act. However, Apple is still blocking all other iOS users outside of Europe from accessing Fortnite and Epic Games Store.
