The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has been the subject of numerous leaks and reports lately. Just last week, we shared several images and a number of specs of the successor to last year’s Galaxy S23 FE (Review). Now, the alleged Galaxy S24 FE has surfaced in the database of the benchmarking app Geekbench. The new listing has revealed the processor of the device, apart from RAM and Android version.
Galaxy S24 FE will offer an underclocked variant of the Exynos 2400 SoC, reveals Geekbench
The purported Galaxy S24 FE is benchmarked on Geekbench under the model number SM-S721N. It is the South Korean variant of the upcoming “Fan Edition” model of the Galaxy S24. The device has been tested with the in-house “s5e9945” motherboard, which is an identifier for the Exynos 2400 SoC.
It looks like Samsung will be using an underclocked version of the Exynos 2400 SoC in the Galaxy S24 FE. In the Geekbench tests, the processor has a maximum clock speed of 3.11GHz. The Exynos 2400 has the potential to reach up to a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz. As per the sources, it is the Exynos 2400e variant of the Exynos 2400 SoC.
That said, the Galaxy S24 FE has managed to achieve a single-core score of 1,625 points and a multi-core score of 5,698 points. The chipset in the tests has a Cortex-X4 core, two Cortex-A720 cores, three Cortex-A720 cores, and four Cortex-A520 cores. There’s 8GB of RAM and a Samsung Xclipse 940 GPU accompanying the processor. Furthermore, Geekbench has revealed that the phone will run Android 14 out of the box.
Samsung will also offer the Galaxy AI functionalities with the Galaxy S24 FE. The handset should offer AI features like Generative Edit, Circle to Search, Sketch to Image, Live Translate, and more. The phone will arrive with the One UI 6.1.1 version.
The Galaxy S24 FE is coming in October in at least five colors
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S24 FE at some point in October. Besides, our sources suggest that the phone will arrive in at least five attractive color variants. These will include Graphite, Blue, Silver/White, Green, and Yellow. As usual, the availability of these colorways will vary from region to region. Also, there could be two more hues of the device, which will be exclusive to the brand’s e-store.
As for the specs, the Galaxy S24 FE will flaunt a larger 6.7-inch display. The screen panel will offer a peak brightness of 1,900 nits and a high refresh rate. The phone will be powered by a 4,565mAh battery. The rumor mill will reveal more specs soon, so stay in touch.
