Samsung is expected to introduce its new Galaxy Tab S10 series of Android tablets at some point in October. The company will launch two new flagship slates this year including the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. The brand will skip the regular Galaxy Tab S10 model this year. Ahead of the launch, the upcoming Samsung tablets are already certified by various regulatory authorities.

Now, they have received certification from China’s 3C regulatory body. The new certification has revealed the Galaxy Tab S10 series’ fast charging speeds.

Galaxy Tab S10 series will offer 45W wired fast charging

Both the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra models are certified by the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) agency. The certification filings suggest that the Galaxy Tab S10 series models will offer 45W wired fast charging support. Unfortunately, the new slates will not offer any upgrades in the charging department as they will offer the same capability as the Galaxy Tab S9 series.

The Galaxy Tab S10+ is certified by 3C under the model number SM-X820. Recently, the device received certification from SafetyKorea under the same moniker. As for the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, it is certified by 3C with the model number SM-X926C. Unfortunately, the latest certification hasn’t revealed anything about the other specifications of the Galaxy Tab S10 series.

Samsung’s upcoming flagship tablets will utilize MediaTek chipsets

Samsung is reportedly taking a bold step with this year’s flagship Android tablets. Both the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra models could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor. It would be the first time in seven years that a high-end Samsung Galaxy tablet will utilize a non-Qualcomm processor.

The Dimensity 9300+ chipset is built using TSMC’s third-gen 4nm fabrication process. The chipset has one Cortex-X4 core with a clock speed of 3.4GHz and three Cortex-X4 cores clocked at 2.85GHz. There also are four Cortex-A720 CPU cores with a maximum clock speed of 2GHz. Various benchmark reports suggest that the ARM Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU of the Dimensity 9300+ SoC is more powerful than the one on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

That said, the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra are shaping up to be gaming and multitasking powerhouses. We already gave you an exclusive first look at the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra variant in June. The rumor mill will reveal more details regarding their specs soon, so watch this space for regular updates.
