Right now Dell is holding a big back-to-school sale that can save you hundreds on a laptop for the new year, and there’s a particularly awesome deal on the Dell XPS 13. It would normally cost you $1,300 but Dell is slashing $200 off that price, and that brings the end cost to $1,100. If you’re in need of a new laptop for school, or if it’s your first laptop for school, then you can’t go wrong with the Dell XPS 13.
For starters, it’s just a really nice-looking laptop. It’s also very thin, well-built, and pretty lightweight. The lightweight and thin build is going to make this an excellent option for the portability alone. Have you ever had to lug a big heavy laptop across campus in your backpack? It’s not fun. It’s also worth noting that as the name suggests, this is a 13-inch laptop. And that’s part of the portability.
In terms of specs, the XPS 13, at least this model of it, is running with a Snapdragon X Elite chipset from Qualcomm. It has 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. That’s probably plenty for school needs. But if you need more of either, you can configure the laptop to come with up to 64GB of RAM and up to 2TB of storage. Do note that changing the memory and storage capacities will increase the price.
When it comes to the display the actual size is 13.4 inches, and it has Full HD resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. And when it comes to battery life, Dell says you can get up to 27 hours while streaming media content in Full HD+ resolution. Overall this is a great laptop for students and the savings make it even better.
