As always Google’s devices are the devices that continue to leak like a faucet you just can’t shut off, and the latest comes in the form of a pretty big Pixel Watch 3 leak showcasing things like a Nest cam video feed.
The Pixel Watch 3 has leaked several times leading up to Google’s event on August 13, but it shouldn’t be surprising that even more details and images are popping up so close to the official announcement. In fact, don’t be surprised if more leaks surface over the next few days too. This latest leak comes from Evan Blass on X, and showcases quite a few images of Google’s new watch. While some of it is definitely similar to existing leaks, there’s plenty of new stuff being shown.
One of the new Pixel Watch 3 features appears to be a new “Morning Brief” message. As the name suggests, this seems to pop up in the morning and it tells you about your activity from the day before. Letting you know if your activities were “right for your body” and if anything should be changed. There’s also an image of the Readiness Score and some new warm-up data. The warm-up data shows info like your average pace, your moderate bpm, and how far your distance for the warm-up was.
The Pixel Watch 3 can show you video feeds from Nest
Perhaps one of the more exciting features of the Pixel Watch 3 is the Nest video feeds. With the Pixel Watch 2, you can receive alerts from your Nest Cam and Nest Doorbell. However, these are just notifications. Now it looks like you can actually see the video feed from the camera so you can see who’s at your door. On top of that, it also appears that you can talk to that person from the watch.
In one of the images, you can see a picture of a Nest video feed with a person at the door holding a package. There’s also a mic button on the watch display that you can presumably use to initiate a conversation.
New watch faces and bands
Unsurprisingly, Google’s Pixel Watch 3 will be coming with some new watch faces and some new bands. The bands look similar to what you can already buy from the Google Store for the Pixel Watch 2. What’s different here are some of the colors. The Woven Band will now come in colors that match the Rose Pixel 9. There will also be color options that are likely called Porcelain and Mint. The leak doesn’t mention color names, but they match those colors from Google’s already available products.
The Active Sport Band also appears to be coming in a new Mint color. As for the watch faces, these are undoubtedly going to be based on the Watch Face Format that comes with Wear OS 5.
