After keeping its focus on the high-end segment for a while, Motorola has once again shifted its focus to the affordable segment with the Motorola Moto G45 5G.

This is Motorola‘s latest 5G phone, which is marketed as the “fastest and most capable 5G smartphone in the affordable segment”. According to the company, it’s a “no compromise 5G device” that provides Indian consumers with a best-in-class performance, design, display, and camera, along with the most advanced 5G connectivity.

Motorola Moto G45 5G boasts the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset

The Android device boasts a 6.5-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) LCD screen which supports a 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports pro-level Hi-Res audio with a wide dynamic range for an improved listening experience.

Under the hood, the phone packs the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 5G chipset. This is an octa-core chipset (2 x Cortex-A78 + 6 x Cortex-A55) that reaches a maximum clock speed of 2.30 GHz. For graphics, it equips the Adreno 619 GPU.

This device comes with an optional 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The phone also comes with a microSD card slot and supports up to 1TB of expandable storage. To power the system, the phone packs a large 5000mAh battery and supports 18W wired charging.

The Motorola Moto G45 5G does not appear to compromise on the in-hand experience either. It is 8.03mm thick and weighs only 183g despite packing a 5000mAh battery. The phone also comes with an IP52 dust and water resistance rating, which means it should handle accidental splashes of fresh water.

Speaking of cameras, it packs a 50MP main sensor along with a 2MP macro sensor on the back. On the front, there is a 16MP centered punch-hole selfie shooter.

Pricing and color options:

The phone comes in three different color options – Brilliant Blue, Brilliant Green, and Viva Magenta and offers a vegan leather finish on the back. The 4GB + 128GB and the 8GB + 128GB variants are priced at Rs. 10,999 (~US$131) and Rs. 12,999 (~US$155) respectively.

According to T.M. Narasimhan, Managing Director, Motorola India, their goal is to democratize technology and to bring best-in-class 5G experiences to a wider audience across the country at an accessible price point.
