At yesterday’s Made by Google event, the Mountain View giant officially unveiled the Google Pixel 9 series. It includes four flagship Android smartphones – the Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 Pro, the Pixel 9 Pro XL, and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Now that these Google Pixel 9 smartphones are here, you must be wondering about their shipping dates.
Among all the four models, the most lauded is the Pixel 9 Pro. Well, it could be because it balances out in the price segment and offers almost the same features as the Pixel 9 Pro XL. If you are a small smartphone lover, the Pixel 9 Pro is just as good. And, for all these reasons the demand for Pixel 9 Pro is soaring high which has eventually pushed shipping dates into late September.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro’s shipping dates are pushed back to late September
Google announced that the Pixel 9 series will start shipping on August 22. However, it already seems there’s some delay going on with the highly-anticipated Pixel 9 Pro. Today, the folks over at 9to5Google reported that most variants of the Pixel 9 Pro are seeing delays of a week. That’s not all and in some cases two weeks as well.
The publication reported that the biggest delay on the Pixel 9 Pro’s 128GB “Hazel” variant, which won’t ship until September 17 in North Carolina. That said, shipping dates of most variants of the Pixel 9 Pro vary somewhere between September 10-17, which converts to almost a week delay from the said date i.e. September 4.
Meanwhile, third-party retailers like Best Buy have marked the device as “coming soon.” However, if you prefer Amazon for ordering the Pixel 9 Pro, you can pre-order the device as we write. The good news is that the shipping date for Pixel 9 Pro isn’t as delayed as the Google Store. So, you might be in luck.
A variant of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is already out of stock
As far as the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is concerned, the foldable is having some stock issues. In fact, the “Porcelain” variant of the foldable is already out of stock. That said, the “Obsidian” model will start shipping from the first week of the next month.
All that said, it’s normal to see these delays in the initial days. However, the pushed-back shipping dates for Pixel 9 Pro hint its demand has spiked at least for now. On the other hand, the early out-of-stock issue of the “Porcelain” variant of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold hints towards the limited units. Not to forget, the same was the case with the original Pixel Fold too.
