That said, it is possible that the latter will be a more aesthetically focused update, while the next One UI 7.1 update will bring massive improvements.

A rumor claimed that the first One UI 7 beta would be available at the end of July, but a later report denied it. Now, the latest leaks claim that Samsung has delayed it indefinitely. It seems that the company wants to focus on rolling out One UI 6.1.1 to more devices that are waiting for it.

Meanwhile, tipster Ice Universe suggests that many of the expected new features will not be available in One UI 7. More specifically, the source claims that One UI 7 “focuses on animation (including elegant animation) and system fluency.” On the other hand, One UI 7.1 would “add more functions because it is an important part of S25.”
It’s noteworthy that each One UI update has brought some major functional changes. However, the post suggests that One UI 7.1 would bring even more new features than usual. Samsung would use One UI 7.1 as a key selling point for the 2025 Galaxy S25 series.
According to leaks, One UI 7 will bring a notable aesthetic revamp to Samsung’s custom Android skin. The South Korean giant is reportedly redesigning its own icons and multiple UI elements. It would also bring a new look to its system apps to make them easier to use. It will be interesting to see how the new animations mentioned by Ice Universe look, especially on lower-end devices.
