Every year without fail, Hisense unveils brand new TVs at CES and CES 2025 is no exception. The company has taken the wraps off two new TVs – the Hisense TriChroma LED TV and the 136MX MicroLED TV. What makes these announcements exciting is the fact that both TVs feature tech that could level up your viewing experience considerably.

Hisense TriChroma LED TV

One of the new TVs that Hisense unveiled at CES 2025 is the 116-inch TriChroma LED TV. This TV uses RGB Local Dimming Display Technology, which the company claims makes it the only consumer model to use the tech.

Unlike more traditional TVs, RGB Local Dimming Display Technology uses independent red, green, and blue LEDs to produce pure colors directly. This achieves 97% of the BT.2020 color space, making it the widest color gamut ever seen in a MiniLED display. This should result in lifelike visuals with more vibrant contrasts, brightness, and “breathtaking” gradients. It will also help to eliminate issues such as blooming and color loss.

In addition to the use of RGB Local Dimming Display Technology, the Hisense TriChroma LED TV features the use of the Hi-View AI Engine X chipset. This offers real-time optimization of color, brightness, and contrast.

It also supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and IMAX Enhanced for better visuals and sound. Other features include peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits and a built-in 6.2.2 surround sound system. Users can also expect the TV to run on the Google TV platform which gives them access to thousands of movies, shows, and apps.

Next up is the Hisense 136MX MicroLED. According to Hisense, this is the company’s first consumer-ready MicroLED display. It features a staggering array of over 24.88 million independent red, green, and blue LEDs. This in turn eliminates the need for traditional backlighting. It also eliminates one of the downsides of OLED panels, such as burn-in. The display achieves a peak brightness of 10,000 nits and covers 95% of the BT.2020 color space.

The Hi-View AI Engine X powers the 136MX, similar to the Hisense TriChroma LED TV. Users can look forward to similar AI-powered features like color management and dynamic adjustments. It also supports formats like Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, and Filmmaker Mode, alongside support for audio technologies like Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual X.

Gamers might also be able to appreciate the 136MX. This is thanks to features like 120Hz VRR, Auto Low Latency Mode, and support for AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro.

The 136X is powered by Hisense’s VIDAA OS, unlike the TriChroma LED TV. Users can find apps for their favorite streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+, just to name a few.
