After months of leaks and rumors, Samsung finally unveiled the Galaxy S25 series smartphones last week. The Galaxy S25 trio comes with many improvements, including a faster SoC, improved camera software, and more. However, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s S Pen now lacks Bluetooth features. Now, it seems Samsung has fixed the Galaxy S24 series’ grainy display issue with the Galaxy S25 series.
The Galaxy S25 series has reportedly fixed the grainy display issue from last year
Samsung not only improved the Galaxy S25 series in many ways. It also appears to have addressed the notorious grainy display issue reported on the Galaxy S24 series last year. Notably, the Galaxy S24 Ultra users mostly reported about the issue. However, searching through Reddit tells us that the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus users also encountered the issue.
The popular Samsung tipster, IceUniverse, recently tested the display of the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Galaxy S24 Ultra side-by-side. He did so to verify whether the grainy display issue persists on the latest model or not. Fortunately, the image shared by the tipster on X (now deleted) indicates that the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s display doesn’t have any issues whatsoever.
You might be wondering how Samsung managed to achieve that, right? Reports from last year suggested that the grainy effect was visible on the Galaxy S24 Ultra that comes with M13 OLED panels. Samsung appears to have made major improvements in the display tech of the Galaxy S25 Ultra to fix the issue.
It’s best to check yourself once you get one on your hands
Although there’s no information about the other models from the Galaxy S25 lineup, we expect their displays should also be fine… but we’ll wait. Samsung will kick off the sale of the Galaxy S25 series on February 7. So, time will tell if the issue has actually been fixed for all units of the Galaxy S25 series. If you buy one for yourself, don’t forget to test the display in a dark environment with the phone’s brightness set to extremely low.
