Asus ZenFone 2 Information:
Asus ZenFone 2 line of devices was announced during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January 2015. The company has showcased four devices as part of their ZenFone 2 line, and the most powerful of them sports 4GB of RAM and was the first smartphone announced with that many RAM. The company has announced the ZenFone 2 ZECL550, ZEML550 and ZEML551. The ZenFone 2 smartphones are actually quite affordable, even the aforementioned unit. All of these handsets have Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed on them and more than solid set of specifications. Speaking of specs, let's check out what these handsets have to offer.
The ZenFone 2 (ZECL550) features a 5-inch 720p IPS display along with 2GB of LPDDR2 RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 64GB). This handset is powered by Intel's Atom Z2560 SoC clocked at 1.6GHz and it sports a 2,500mAh battery on the inside. The 8-megapixel camera) can be found on the back of this device, while you'll find a 2-megapixel snapper up front. The ZenFone 2 (ZEML550) sports a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display, 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB of in-built storage (expandable via microSD card up to 64GB). Intel's Atom Z3560 SoC is powering on this device and the handset ships with a 3,000mAh battery. On the back of this handset, you'll find a 13-megapixel snapper, while there's a 5-megapixel shooter available up front.
The ZenFone 2 (ZEML551) actually consists of two models, they're identical in every possible way except RAM count, the lower-end model sports 2GB of RAM and the higher-end one ships with 4GB of RAM. This variant of the device comes sporting a 5.5-inch 1080p display and 16, 32 or 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB). Intel's Atom Z3560 or Z3580 SoC is powering on this handset and a 3,000mAh non-removable battery is also a part of the package. The 13-megapixel snapper is located on the back of this handset, and a 5-megapixel camera is available on its front side. All of these devices are available in a range of colors and offer 4G LTE connectivity.

The ZenFone 2 line of devices consists of four devices, but due to the rather affordable price points of all those devices, we'd recommend you get the 4GB variant of the device. You can get this handset for around $300, in certain areas even under $300, which is really affordable for such a handset. The lower-end variants are also quite powerful devices and have definitely managed to get Asus under the spotlight. This Taiwan-based OEM did a great job manufacturing these devices. To wrap this up, if you're looking to purchase a smartphone for around $300 off-contract, the ZenFone 2 is a great choice.
